- Personal statement of interest (not to exceed 500 words)
- Current curriculum vitae (CV)
- Letter of nomination from your school’s Anesthesia Interest Group (AIG), a faculty member, or a professor. Please ask your letter writer(s) to plainly write your your name in an email, as well as the position you are interested in, and send to medicalstudentcomponent@asahq.org. (If applying to the President-Elect position, please have your second LOR sent to the same email as well.)
NOTE: The President-Elect position requires two letters of nomination.
Elections will take place at the ASA Medical Student Component House of Delegates Session in October.
Each candidate will be permitted to make a brief speech (2-3 minutes) on their personal statement of interest.
By submitting this application, you agree to the duties and responsibilities as outlined on the website and agree to fulfill these obligations and any other new initiatives put forth and approved during your officer term. You are expected to attend two (2) onsite meetings of the governing council. One meeting is in March and the other in August. Those meetings take place the same weekend as the ASA Board of Directors Meeting, and the relevant dates can be found on this page.
